Arizona Initial Chiropractic Assistant Training
A chiropractor shall inform the Board, in writing, that the chiropractor has employed a chiropractic assistant within seven days of hiring the C.A. and initial date of hire.
- Course can be taken live, hybrid or online.
- shall complete 24 clock hours of coursework (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours of chiropractic principles. (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours of management of common diseases. (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours of history taking. (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours recordkeeping. (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours of professional standards of conduct. (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-100)
- 4 hours CPR (can be done online or in person)
If DC has a PMMTP license the CA must complete an addition
- 12 clock hours of coursework in Physical Manual Medicine and Therapeutic Procedures (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-102)
- Basic and PMMTP Bundled 32-hour Package (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-104)
- Students can take the 36-hr National Clinical Chiropractic Assistant Training Course for AZ, meeting the Basic and PMMTP requirement but allowing them to sit for national exam offered by the FCLB to also meet this requirement (AZCBE Approved Course ID 13-NCA-003 and we're a PACE provider)
If DC has a Acupuncture specialty license the CA must complete an addition
- 2 clock hours of coursework in Acupuncture Specialty Training (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-103)
- Basic, PMMTP and Acupuncture Bundled 34-hour Package (AZCBE Approved Course ID 18-CAN-105)
