Description

In this course, students will develop front desk skills including listening and communication phone skills, and new patient scripting.  Students will identify and learn procedures for scheduling patient visits, managing patient flow, and color-coding of appointments.  They will learn the benefits of cluster and multiple appointment booking. Students will learn recall procedures and scripting.   Students will develop an understanding of front desk procedures for a patient’s first day of treatment.  This will include new patient checklists, a second day or report of finding procedures, and asking for referrals. Students will be able to clarify the differences between the law and ethics.  Students will review the state law applicable to chiropractic assistants, doctor conduct, C.A. conduct, patient conduct, and unprofessional conduct.  

This 4-hour course is broken into 1-hour sections.  All lesson quizzes are multiple-choice.  There are 16 possible points for this course.  Each quiz consists of 4 questions designed to test knowledge of the lesson, objectives, and section goals.  Students must successfully answer 3 of the 4 questions correctly to receive completion for that individual section.  Students must attain an overall score of 12 out of 16 which is equivalent to 75% or better to pass the course.  Students will be allowed to retake each section quiz after re-studying the course material for a minimum of 5 minutes.  Each section has a multiple-choice test, there are 16 possible points for this course.
