Description

This in-person seminar is instructing healthcare providers and public safety professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond to life threatening (cardiac and breathing) emergencies.  Students will watch videos and instructor led skill sessions in the following areas:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Important early use of an AED
• Effective ventilation using a barrier device.
• Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Upon successful completion of AHA BLS multiple choice exam and CPR skill demonstration course participants will receive an emailed BLS Provider CPR eCard good for 2 years from the date of the class.
